Fashion trends change very often and some of the 2019 spring trends might be coming around the block once again.
“I’m definitely seeing so much of 90s fashion fabrics and it’s so funny because it’s back,” said fashion professor, Kathryn Simmons.
On trend for this season are bright colors and pastels. Along with that are chunky sneakers and silver chain belts.
“And I’m also seeing all these really vibrant purples is a little pink so you’re playing off I could’ve you’re a dozen fabrics everywhere,” said Simmons.
One of the biggest trends going around right now is being totally revived from the 80s, and that my friends is neon. Just like this neon green shirt which was thrifted, so it was probably was straight from the 80s and they say bright colors like this are going to be seen all throughout spring and maybe even going I not summer.
Thrift shopping is a great way to keep sustainability at a high and helping it become more common every day.
“sustainable companies in their popularity and why people are thrift shopping,” said fashion design student Marisa Maite.
Sustainability is being taken into effect everyday by using natural fabrics, dyes and anything that can be reconstructed.
“I’ve noticed a lot of new designers that are getting really popular because they’re going 100% recycled garments and I think that’s just a general trend that we should be doing,” said Simmons.
