Don’t be too confident trying to sneak into Water Street Tavern in Kent, Ohio. Water Street has a strict, zero-tolerance policy regarding fake IDs. Fake ID’s are common on college campuses throughout the country. Many underage students invest in fake identification to get into bars, clubs, and buy booze. Right here at Kent State University, students carry fake ID’s around. Water Street Tavern, however, won’t be fooled by underage drinkers and prides itself on being known for “collecting fakes.”…
KSU faculty and staff, from different departments, sat down for a training in hopes of learning the best practices for being an ally to their students. Reporter Tia Myers-Rocker attended this training session in February 2018. About 25 Kent State faculty members attended this training on the second floor of the university library.
