Laura Jordan has owned the Medina Raptor Center for over 25 years. This organization rehabilitates injured birds. More than 400 birds get brought here from mostly human related incidents, such as, car accidents and poisons. They specialize in assisting large birds of prey. This is completely ran by a staff of volunteers which have to go through a class and get tested before they are eligible to help. It is not a glamorous place but the helpers take great pride in nursing the injured birds back to health. Jordan wants the public to know that they can help this cause by donating money and/or supplies, volunteer, recycling, and being cautious of using certain chemicals that could harm animals.
