Located right on the Esplanade and East Erie Street is the new Fashion School Store. The store made it’s debut on April 22 with a grand opening to show off the new store.

Store Manager, Karey Christie, is excited about the new store.

The new store is right across the street from the Kent Hotel. It has much larger windows, a dressing room, and a sewing machine located on the right side of the store.

Sales Associate, Keisha Walker, said the sewing machine is for custom made products.

“The Collaborative Production class made these bags. You can come into the store and pick your own fabric and have the bag ready in a few weeks,” Walker said.

Students and Faculty members of Kent State will receive a 10% discount at the store.

Aside from regular products being sold in the store, student created objects are sold as well.

Senior Emily LaBenne created a scarf while studying abroad in Italy. The scarf can be purchased inside of the store and gives a brief bio about the designer.

The store is open Tuesday- Friday from noon until 5 p.m. It is also open on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
