College students often rely on their daily dose of caffeine to aid them through a busy school day, but how much caffeine is too much? According to the FDA 400 milligrams is the maximum amount recommended for healthy adults. However, not everyone should abide by the “400 rule”.

Each person metabolizes caffeine differently. For instance, some people may consume only half a can of Red Bull before they start to feel jittery and anxious. While others can drink a whole can and feel perfectly fine. Caffeine tolerance looks different for everyone.
