People with ADHD 2X as Likely to Develop Type 2 Diabetes

There are over 366 million adults with ADHD globally. ADHD can persist into adulthood. According to a Swedish study, people with ADHD are more than twice as likely to develop type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic excess of glucose in the bloodstream and insulin resistance. The condition can affect individuals’ quality of life.
