I’m standing here outside of Van Campen Hall, which houses the office of Global education.
Every International students journey here at Kent State, begins in this building.
I spoke with Nick Vasiloff, a foreign exchange advisor, who stated that one of the hardest things for an international student to do is make the transition between coursework, professors, and also finding their niche in the student community.
But with the programs in play here at Van Campen, such as the cultural cafés, and the day trips to various American cities, hopefully that transition can be an easy one.
