“A Perfect Storm” – Winter Storms & Pandemic to Blame for Blood Shortage
Recent winter weather and the COVID-19 pandemic are among some of the reasons why the American Red Cross is experiencing its “worst blood shortage in over a decade.” The Red Cross is saying that the shortage is so bad that hospitals are starting to make decisions on which patients need a blood transfusion and which ones do not.
